Series: Another Conspiracy Theory – Episode 1
Title: Dr. Venus Interview
About: Podcast interview with Dr. Venus (Monty Campbell) of the “Neo-Interplanetary Research Center”, Hosted by Phil Hurbocks (Josh Campbell). Recorded 28 June, 2021 in Spring Hill, FL.
Context: “Another Conspiracy Theory” is a satire podcast. All characters and content are fictional and not based on any real person or historical event. This production is for entertainment purposes only.
Conditions: This podcast was recorded in my home studio using Logic Pro X as the DAW (Digital Audio Interface).
Scope: This project was part of a class assignment for EME 630 – Development in Multimedia Instruction at the University of Tampa. The design and development of this project were done in collaboration with Monty Campbell, who helped with creative direction and voice talent. All other aspects of this project were completed by me alone. The musical introduction is a piece that I wrote and recorded in 2020 called, Covid Millennial. I created the cover artwork for this project in Adobe Photoshop.
Screencast Micro-tutorial
Subject: Importing powerpoint content into articulate storyline 360.
Context: This project was part of a school assignment where each student was tasked with creating a screencast of a topic of their own choosing. I choose to focus on this particular task after experiencing significant time savings with it’s implementation in my work flow.
Conditions: This project was created using my own personal equipment at home. The steps outlined in this video came from the articulate 360 website. The screencast content from this video was created using “Replay Screencast”. I created a basic logo for the start of the video using adobe illustrator. After preparing a basic script, I used my iPhone 12 with a wide lens attachment to capture video of me talking while capturing audio with a zoom f8n field recorder using a sennheiser ew G4 wireless lavaliere microphone. Noise reduction was achieved using iZotope rX6 inside of ProTools. The video was assembled / edited in adobe premier pro and exported as an .mp4.
Scope: This project was designed and developed solely by me. It was later shared with my classmates. The process and technical skills used to bring this micro tutorial to life informed my workflow for several follow-on projects.
