Micro Learning – Design principles for accessibility
WCAG Presentation by Josh Campbell – Instructional Designer (2021)

Context: This presentation explains the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in the context of the digital divide.

Conditions: I developed this video using the P.O.U.R. model that addresses accessible design. This video was shot in my home in Florida using an iPhone 12. All editing was done in Adobe Premier running on a MacBook Pro.

Scope: This is an individual assignment that I completed during EME 601 Introduction to Instructional Design with Dr. Suzanne Ensmann in the Spring of 2021.

Inquiry and Measurement – Group Research Project

Context: This presentation details the group research project carried out by a group of 3 graduate students during the Fall 2021 semester at the University of Tampa.

Conditions: Prior to conducting any research, each member of the group was required to complete the Citi Program training for Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers. All research was approved by the University of Tampa’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Scope: This was a collaborative group project. Each member of the team contributed by reviewing current literature, developing survey questions, interpreting results from a formative evaluation, conducting interviews, interpreting survey results, and presenting the findings.

Theories of Learning and Cognition – Constructivism Presentation

Context: This presentation was done as a final project for EME 602 – Theories of Learning & Cognition during the Fall 2021 semester at the University of Tampa.

Conditions: Over the duration of the course, students were introduced to several prominent learning theories and tasked with further researching a theory of interest. I feel that Constructivism resonates with me as both a learning theory and as a philosophy. While it takes considerably more effort to effectively design and develop instruction using this approach, the learning outcomes tend to be greater. One of the things I like most about Constructivism is that it puts the learner in the spotlight. It allows for both pre-identified and learner-identified outcomes, making it more personal and connected to each individual learner.

Scope: This was an individual project.
